Grosse Pointe South Golfers Finish Fourth at State Finals

Tenley Shield and Lily Pendy lead Blue Devils at state championship golf tournament.

The Grosse Pointe South girls golf team finished fourth at the Division 1 state finals on Saturday at Forest Akers East Golf Course in East Lansing, according to the MHSAA.

Grosse Pointe South finished with a two-day total of 677.

Plymouth won the state championship with a 659. Farmington Hills Mercy placed second with a 670, and Utica was third at 672.

Top golfers for Grosse Pointe South were Tenley Shield (75-80—155); Lily Pendy (82-75—157); Hanah Buzolits (92-88—180); Kaitlin Dalman (94-91—185); and Katherine Motschall (96-95—191).

Division 2

Grosse Pointe North finished 14th at the Division 2 golf finals at the Meadows Golf Course at Grand Valley State.
