University Liggett's Madison Ristovski Commits To Wolverines

Standout girls basketball player signs letter of intent with University of Michigan.

girls basketball player Madison Ristovski made her decision to play basketball for the University of Michigan official Thursday morning by signing a national letter of intent.

Surrounded by her family, coaches, Liggett administriators, teammates and friends, the senior guard sat at a small table beside University Liggett athletic director Michelle Hicks and put her name on the dotted line, thus beginning her career as a basketball player for the University of Michigan.

Before Ristovski dons her Wolverines jersey, however, there is still some work left to do for the Knights. 

The squad heads into the 2011-2012 campaign as one of the top teams in the state, one year removed from a trip to the .

Congrats to Maddie and her family. I have known Maddie since childhood and watched her grow into a fine young lady. Not only is UM getting a fine athlete, they are getting an even finer young person; a true asset to the university. Go Maddie, Go Blue!
