Miele Named Finalist for Hobey Baker Award

Grosse Pointe Woods native and Miami (Ohio) forward is one of three players up for college hockey's top award.

Miami (Ohio) forward Andy Miele, a Grosse Pointe Woods native, was named a Hobey Baker Hat Trick finalist on Wednesday, according to a press release from the school.

Miele is now one of three finalists for the Hobey Baker Award, which is given annually to the top player in college hockey. The winner will be announced on April 8 at 7 p.m. at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN.

Miele was named the , and he leads the nation in scoring with 71 points. He has 24 goals and 47 assists.
