Miele Signs Contract with Phoenix Coyotes

Grosse Pointe Woods native and star college hockey player at Miami (Ohio) signs contract with NHL team.

The news keeps getting better for Andy Miele.

Miele, a Grosse Pointe Woods native and forward on the Miami (Ohio) hockey team, signed a contract with the National Hockey League's Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday, according to a press release.

“I’m heading in (to Phoenix on Saturday) and will be with the team Monday, which is so hard to believe,” Miele said in the release. “It’s still a dream for me. I’m very excited, I’m sure it’s a great group of guys. I’ll get up there and do what I can do to help them out.”
