North Boys Swim Team Defeats Livonia Franklin

The Grosse Pointe North High School boys swimming and diving team outscored Livonia Franklin during a meet this week.

The Boys Swimming and Diving Team defeated Livonia Franklin Tuesday night by a 126-45 margin.

Matt Leone was a double winner taking the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard butterfly.

Single winners included:

  • Justin Rakowicz 200 yard freestyle
  • James McNelis 1 meter diving
  • A.J. Owens 100 yard freestyle
  • Danny MacAskill 500 yard freestyle
  • Robert McGovern 100 yard backstroke
  • Christian Mellos 100 yard breastroke

  • 200 yard freestyle:Danny MacAskill
  • 500 yard freestyle: Danny MacAskill
  • 100 yard backstroke: Robert McGovern
  • 100 yard breastroke: Kyle Young
  • 100 yard butterfly: Matthew Leone, and Michael Jansenn
  • 200 yard individual medley: Connor Yeager
  • 1 meter diving: James McNelis, Duncan MacAskill, Graham Eger

North is now 2-2 (0-2 MAC Red) in dual meet competition.
