North Boys Swim Team Wins Meet Against L'Anse Creuse North

The Grosse Pointe North Boys Swim team is 3-3 (0-2 MAC Red) in dual meet competition for the season.

The Grosse Pointe North Boys Swimming and Diving defeated L'Anse Creuse North by a 99-85 margin Tuesday night.

Patrick Turnbull and Matt Leone were double winners. Turnbull took the 200 yard individual medley and the 100 yard freestyle while Leone scored wins in the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard backstroke.

Matt Stander won the 100 yard breastroke while William McNelis won the 1 meter diving.

The diving contingent of William McNelis(1st), Duncan MacAskill(2nd) and Sam Shehadeh (3rd) were instrumental in the win by sweeping the diving event.

Season best performances were recorded in the following events: 

  • 100 yard freestyle: Chris Ghanem
  • 200 yard freestyle: Michael Reith
  • 500 yard freestyle: Danny MacAskill and Jacob Flowers
  • 100 yard backstroke: John Leone
  • 100 yard breastroke; Quinn Gallant
  • 1 meter diving: William McNelis and Sam Shehadeh

North is now 3-3 (0-2 MAC Red) in dual meet competition.
