Miele, who once played hockey for Grosse Pointe North, is one of five people nominated for the ESPY for Best Male College Athlete. The other nominees are Brigham Young basketball player Jimmer Fredette, Auburn quarterback Cam Newton, Cornell lacrosse player Rob Panell and Connecticut basketball player Kemba Walker.
