Family Center Kicks Off Enrichment Campaign with $35,000 in Lead Gifts

More than one hundred friends of The Family Center of Grosse Pointe and Harper Woods helped launch the group’s Enrichment Campaign at a Kick-Off Party held at the lovely home of Sergio and Lora Mazza earlier this month.

Campaign chair Allison Baker was excited to announce lead gifts and other support totaling more than $35,000 including a $10,000 gift from the George R. & Elise M. Fink Foundation, $8,000 from the HP Foundation; $2,000 from the Detroit Industrial School, and $2,000 from the Grosse Pointe Rotary. Baker also thanked five couples who contributed to the campaign as Founders Club Executives:  Ron and Diane Strickler, John and Cathy Leverenz, Mr. and Mrs. William Clay Ford, Jim Bonahoom of Wolverine Packing Co., and Todd and Allison Baker.

The focus of the Family Center Enrichment Campaign is to strengthen our community by building stronger families “It is our hope that this campaign will ensure that the Family Center can continue to offer innovative and effective programming to families celebrating the joys and challenges of raising kids in our community for generations to come,” Baker said. The goal is to raise $500,000 over the next three years.
