Grosse Pointe Residents Help Raise Funds for Belle Isle

Grosse Pointe residents were among the nearly 400 patrons who attended the Polish the Jewel luncheon.

More than 400 guests descended on Belle Isle Casino Sept. 25 for the Belle Isle Conservancy's 9th annual Polish the Jewel Legacy Luncheon.

Attendees helped raise over $200,000 to support the Conservancy's mission on Belle Isle, according to a release.

A number of Grosse Pointe residents including Deborah Meade, Mary Tindall, Sandy Riney, Mary Carey and Mary Abouljoud attended. 

Additionally, Grosse Pointe resident Stephanie Shelters volunteered to organize the decor, catering and rental details, for the luncheon.
