GPPSS Board of Education Meeting, Woods Aglow and Santa Claus Parade Coming Up This Week
Holiday events and closures, and a Board of Education meeting, are among the events planned this week in the Pointes.
Here are some events to add to your calendar this week:
- The Grosse Pointe Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Brownell Multipurpose Room. Among the items which are scheduled to be considered will be a resolution to submit a technology bond proposal.
- Grosse Pointe Woods will celebrate "Woods Aglow" at 7 p.m. Tuesday to light holiday lights in the city, welcome Santa Claus, sing carols and enjoy refreshments.
- Municipal offices in all five Grosse Pointes will be closed Thursday and Friday. Trash will not be collected Thursday, and will be delayed one day due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
- Scouts, community groups, bands, floats and the jolly old elf Santa Claus will take part in the annual Santa Claus Parade at 10 a.m. Friday on Kercheval.
