Municipal Meetings, Holiday Events and a performance of Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings Coming Up This Week

Here are some events to add to your calendar this week:

• Grosse Pointe Farms City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. Among the items on the agenda include a presentation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the past fiscal year.
• Grosse Pointe North students will be performing selections from their concerts scheduled on Dec. 12 and 13 at 7 p.m. at First English Lutheran Church.  
• Assumption Cultural Center presents Mel Stander’s Gentlemen of Swing Christmas Concert from 1 - 2:30 p.m. Thursday. The “Gents” will play Christmas favorites. The show is complimentary to the community. The performance will be at Assumption Cultural Center, 21800 Marter Rd., St. Clair Shores. For more information call (586) 779-6111 x 4.
  
• Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings will have its Holiday Brass concert on December 15 at Grosse Pointe Memorial Church. The concert will feature the Dakota High School Choir. The concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. with a 6:45 p.m. Holiday Sing-Along led by the choir.
