North and South Holiday Concert and Tea, Holiday Walk Among Events This Week in the Pointes

Holiday events, municipal meeting and more happening this week.

Here are some events to add to your calendar this week:

  • The Grosse Pointe Woods City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Among the items to be considered is a request from homeowners on Provencal Road to be annexed by Grosse Pointe Farms.
  • The Mother's Club of Grosse Pointe South and the Parent's Club of Grosse Pointe North High School will host the annual Holiday Concert and Tea at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Grosse Pointe Community Performing Arts Center at Grosse Pointe North High School. The free concert features the choirs from both Grosse Pointe North and South High School. Complimentary coffee, tea, punch, and cookies will be served following the concert. 
  • Grosse Pointe Park will hold its tree lighting Wednesday. A holiday gift market will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Tompkins Community Center, with a 6:30 p.m. tree lighting ceremony.
  • The Mother’s Club of Grosse Pointe South High School Holiday Walk will be held from noon - 4 p.m. Sunday and features five homes decorated for the holidays. Tickets for the Holiday Walk are $20 in advance, $15 for Seniors and $25 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at the following locations: Posterity Gallery in the Village, the Chocolate Bar Cafe and www.mothersclubgps.com.
  • The Village will host a 'Ladies Night Out' from 5 - 9 p.m. Thursday with shopping specials, refreshments and gift registries.
