Municipal Meetings, Business Expo and Holiday Tree Lighting Planned This Week

Three communities have meetings planned this week in the Pointes.

Here are some events to add to your calendar this week:

  • The Grosse Pointe Woods City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Among the items to be considered include a request from AT&T for a wireless facility at the Milk River Pump Station.
  • The Grosse Pointe Farms City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. Among the items on the agenda is a request from the Zoning Board of Appeals for a request from the Border Patrol.
  • The City of Grosse Pointe City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. Among the items on the agenda is a presentation of road improvement plans.
  • The Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce will hold its eighth annual Community Business EXPO event from 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. Rock Ventures CEO Matt Cullen will be the keynote speaker.
  • A special distinguished alumni event honoring six outstanding alumni of Grosse Pointe North High School will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the Community Performing Arts Center at North High School. 
  • City of Grosse Pointe will hold a tree lightning at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the Village. The event will feature fire pits, hot cocoa, s'mores, live reindeer, carols from the Grosse Pointe South choir and coney dogs by the Grosse Pointe Boat Club.
