Trunk Show, Festival of Tables and Fall Follies Among Events Coming This Weekend

Here are some events to add to your weekend calendar:

• A Girls Night Out will be held at Assumption Cultural Center Thursday with health screenings, education and prevention information; Mediterranean cooking  demonstrations; boutique shopping, chocolate, appetizers, makeovers and free giveaways.
• Grosse Pointe South choirs will present their annual Fall Follies at the Grosse Pointe North Performing Arts Center Thursday and Friday.
  
• First English Lutheran Church will hold Oktoberfest Friday.
• Rimanelli's Custom Tailor & Fine Clothier will hold a Fall Custom Shirt Trunk Show Saturday. Representative Lori Vaughn from Individualized Shirts will be in the store and will have new fall fabrics. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served throughout the day.
• Grosse Pointe Art Center will hold their Chair Affair fundraiser Saturday, at the Grosse Pointe ART Center. Tickets are $40 per person. To purchase tickets, contact the Grosse Pointe ART Center at (313) 881-3454.  
  
• The Thamyris Chapter of the Daughters of Penelope will host a Festival of Tables Sunday at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. Proceeds benefit women's charities.
