War Memorial to Night of Comedy

A night of comedy is planned Saturday at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial.

The Grosse Pointe Comedy Club will host a night of comedy featuring three comedians Saturday at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial.

Those scheduled to perform, according to a release, include:

  • Grosse Pointe native, and Detroit Second City alumni, Dave Landau performs his funny take on friends, family and pop culture. He has been featured on two seasons of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and is a regular on the nationally-syndicated “Bob & Tom” radio show,
  • Nate Weatherup, a Grosse Pointe native and Michael Issac will join Landau. Weatherup emerged from the Chicago comedy scene and pulls hilarious observations from his former career as a teacher. Issac’s focus on clean, family friendly comedy emerges from his own autobiography and earned his television debut on “Nickelodeon’s Nickmom Night Out.”
The show is at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Grosse Pointe War Memorial Theatre. Advance tickets are $20, and $25 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at www.startickets.com or at Marge’s Bar & Grill in Grosse Pointe Park.

Partial proceeds to benefit the Grosse Pointe Old Devils Hockey Charity.
