In a measure to prepare for the upcoming 2012/13 budget discussions, the Grosse Pointe Public School Board passed a measure Monday to help gain feedback from unionized employees and administration well in advance of the passage deadline.
The Grosse Pointe Public School Board will vote next month on whether to allow Head Start to operate a 20-student classroom at Poupard Elementary School. This is the second time the board will make such a decision.
The Grosse Pointe Public School System is selling a book it created, 'A Day in the Life of Grosse Pointe Public Schools,' to capture what goes on in classrooms across the district. The limited edition book is $30.

Cameron Harbin and Aiden Houle worked on a donation project related to books. By encouraging other students and neighbors to get involved, they were able donate more than 200 books to two organizations.
The 2011 'cut scores' show a similar percentage of proficiency for the district when compared to adjusted numbers for 2010 released by the Michigan Department of Education Wednesday.
