Black Friday is slowly seeping into Thanksgiving, with several big box stores slated to open their doors at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22 in preparation for the biggest shopping day of the year. Kohl's, Macy's, Best Buy and Parisian will open at midnight Black Friday, while a few stores such as Target, Kmart and Walmart begin their sales Thanksgiving night. If your shopping plan on Black Friday includes hitting the Hall Road stores, here is a list of holiday store hours to help you organize your route.

'Small Business Saturday' on Nov. 24 will reward customers who shop with American Express at small businesses across the country with a $25 statement credit.
The Village Toy Company is abuzz with little feet and curious faces as children crowd into the popular toy store on Kercheval Avenue in The Village in Grosse Pointe. It's a Friday afternoon in November and yet the holiday hum is already in full swing as children swirl through the store looking at the latest toy offerings for this holiday season and heading to a birthday party in the store's special event suite. Owner Ellen Durand said that, while no one toy is the "Tickle Me Elmo" for 2012, there are several toys that she expects to be popular with kids this year.
