Due to still-pending details, the University of Michigan-Dearborn confirmed that the transfer to the Eleanor and Edsel Ford House will now take place Dec. 31.
The transfer of ownership of the Henry Ford Estate, first announced late last fall, has been delayed once again. The estate, which is located on the campus of the University of Michigan-Dearborn, was closed for major renovations beginning in December 2010. The building and grounds were planned to transfer ownership from the university to the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House, located in Grosse Pointe Shores in July.
