Bob Bashara Makes Court Appearance

The Grosse Pointe Park man named as a "person of interest" in the January death of his wife, Jane, made an appearance in court today related to an emergency motion.

Just as investigators have confirmed that the untimely, violent death of Jane Bashara is still being actively investigated nearly three months after her body was found in Detroit, her husband Bob Bashara made an appearance in court, according to WDIV Local 4. The hearing was based on an emergency motion filed to compel Bob Bashara to provide a handwriting sample. Patch is awaiting information about the outcome of the hearing. Maria Miller, the spokeswoman for the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, said to Patch on Wednesday afternoon the investigation is continuing and the office has no comment about the emergency hearing. Well, whooppee! Finally some "action" in the Bashara case. The powers that be have to get a court order to get a handwriting sample from the guy? He's guilty! Call the TV channels. Stop the presses!
