Grosse Pointe North Student Places Second in Auto Show Art Contest
Grosse Pointe North student's poster will be on display at the 2013 North American International Auto Show.
Grosse Pointe North junior Tess Kolp is really pleased with how her submission to the North American International Auto Show's poster contest turned out. She should be - the computer graphics student won a second place in the elite event's contest, taking home a $250 prize and bragging rights that her post will be on display during the show that draws attendees from all over the globe. "I think the coolest thing is that it actually turned out even better than I had in my head," Kolp said. Kolp, who is a student in Robert Thies' Computer Graphics IV class, created her poster using typography-a stylized use of words and text to create an image.
