2nd Place People's Choice Award: Fish'n Chips

After tallying votes taken last week at the unveiling of the 51 Grosse Pointe Perch that will be lining the streets of the five communities this summer, the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce announced the second place winner today as Fish'n Chips.

Fish'n Chips, one of the 51 Grosse Pointe Perch, is the second place winner in the People's Choice Award, in which votes were lodged last week during an unveiling party at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House. The Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce announced the second place winner today and will announce the first place winner on Wednesday. The artists whose fish won will receive a gift certificate to a restaurant. The project is meant to draw people to the Pointes to not only roam the community to see the fish but also to frequent the many businesses. In October, the fish will be auctioned off as part of a fundraiser for Services for Older Citizens. Fish'n Chips was sponsored by Better Made Snack Foods and the artist is Sammy "Pants" Mowbray…
