Detroit Red Wings Set to Visit Trombly Elementary

Trombly Elementary in Grosse Pointe Park is one of 115 Michigan elementary schools to receive a visit from the Red Wings Foundation school program this school year.

  DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings Foundation, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and the Kroger Company of Michigan have partnered to bring the Red Wings School Assembly Program to 115 elementary schools during the 2012-13 season.  The program will come to Grosse Pionte Park's Trombly Elementary School on Jan. 29 at 1 p.m. and will present the school with full sets of floor hockey equipment. The Red Wings School Assembly Program is a street and floor hockey initiative that began in 2010 to introduce kids to the sport of hockey and encourage an active and healthy lifestyle. During each visit, the school assembly team opens the program with a lesson on exercise and healthy eating tips, followed by a fun face-off between teachers and students…
