Officials from Grosse Pointe Woods and the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce celebrated Aria Salon this week during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Co-owners of Aria Salon James Orlando and Dmitriy Pomogalov celebrated their business this week with officials from Grosse Pointe Woods and the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce. The salon opened on Mack Avenue nearly a year ago, Orlando said, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week. Aria is located at 20527 Mack Ave. housed another salon previously. Orlando and Pomogalov gutted the building and started anew, they said, explaining they wanted to make the environment relaxing. The front portion of the salon houses stations generally used for cutting and styling hair. The Little Blue Book and Towar Productions celebrated its relocation from Grosse Pointe Park to Grosse Pointe Woods Thursday with a small party and ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of their new offices. The company, owned by mother and daughter team, Kim Towar and Brandi Towar, wanted to find a location that was more visible. Kim Towar said they are aiming to expand their business related to custom publishing, which is part of what prompted the move. Serving up crepes daily with a full espresso bar, Good Girls Go to Paris owner Torya Blanchard celebrated the grand-opening of Grosse Pointe Park location early Friday. Her parents, close friends and several Grosse Pointe Park officials attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce.
