Television production students from North and South high schools competed in the Michigan Student Film and Video competition. Students from both schools earned honors.
Television production students from both North and South high school earned a variety of awards at the recent Michigan Student Film and Video Festival. The 'Best of Show' videos are to be on display at the Detroit Institute of Arts in the film theater April 27. During a recent competition, students in Grosse Pointe South's tv production program won first, second and third place for the music video category.
Grosse Pointe South television production students swept the music video category of a recent competition among area high schools. The students took first, second and third place for the music video competition of the 2013 Orchard Lake Student Film Festival this month, according to Steve Geresy, who is in charge of the television production program at South. To conclude the festival, the winning videos were on display and played to the public, according to Geresy. Congratulations. Too bad the Board of Ed is "offering" yet another paycut and reduced benefits to these students' successful and dedicated teachers, with the caveat that they can cut even more when state funding changes.   more ›
