To the 7 GPPSS School Board members: Please vote NO on the recommendation the administration will make tonight to reduce the nine office assistants/clerks in our 9 elementary schools from 1.0 (full time) to 0.5 (part time). This would be in addition to the pay cut ALL office staff personnell took this past school year and in addition to the new pay cuts they will take for the coming school year. …   more ›

According to the agenda, the council will discuss:  2. The annual Grosse Pointe Woods/North High School PTO flower sale is Friday May 10 and Saturday May 11 in front of city hall on Mack Avenue. The monthly severe weather siren test is Saturday at 1 p.m. The sirens will sound for a full minute as a test. 3. Grosse Pointe Public Schools are on spring break this week.

They will vote on it March 18 and if it is approved, it will take effect March 25. The contract is drawing heavy criticism from many teachers. 3.
