Two brothers and a girlfriend plead guilty to stealing more than $1 million dollars of jewelry from a Grosse Pointe City home.
The three people charged with stealing more than $1 million dollars worth of jewelry from a Grosse Pointe City home in September have pleaded guilty as charged in Wayne County Third Circuit Court. Matthew Sedgeman, 19, was charged with second-degree home invasion and larceny of over $20,000. Judge Wade McCree sentenced Sedgman to 36 months to 15 years in prison and over $1 million dollars in restitution. Sedgeman's brother, Joshua Sedgeman, 20, was charged with receiving and concealing stolen property over $20,000 and was sentenced to one to ten years in prison with restitution. Joshua Sedgeman's girlfriend, Alaina Robinson, who is also charged with receiving and concealing stolen property over $20,000, will be sentenced on December 13. …

Three people accused of stealing and receiving more than $1 million dollars in jewelry from a Grosse Pointe City residence were arraigned in Wayne County court Thursday.
Two brothers and one of the brothers' girlfriend were arraigned in Wayne County Third Circuit Court Thursday on charges that arose from a Labor Day weekend home invasion in Grosse Pointe City that netted more than $1 million dollars in stolen jewelry. Thursday's arraignment on the information was held before Third Circuit Judge Wade McCree. Both Sedgeman brothers are currently in custody and Robinson is currently released on a $50,000 personal bond. Matthew Sedgeman, 19, of Detroit was charged with second-degree home invasion and larceny of over $20,000.
