I am a Regional Editor for Patch.com in Michigan. I grew up on the East Side of Detroit, graduated from Regina High School and Michigan State University. I came to Patch from Model D, an online magazine about Detroit, where I was founding managing editor. I started my journalism career in the South—working at the The State newspaper in Columbia, SC, as well as dailies in Hilton Head Island, SC, and Wilmington, NC. I've been a business reporter, city editor, and copy desk chief. I've written for the Metro Times, Detroit Free Press, the Grand Rapids Press and Next American City magazine.
