Nicole, you are absolutely right. You can also make your own cream of soup to cut calories and preservatives as well.

Ruby, certainly, if you were eating this sort of thing every day, it would be a problem. Once in a great while, it's totally fine. I wasn't looking to "amuse" anyone, but to give you a recipe you could try. If it's not for you, then it's not for you! My family is definitely not obese, nor do they have heart problems or high blood pressure from eating this recipe once, maybe twice a year. Everything is ok in moderation.

Great question! I used a 6 quart. I would say it serves about 6-10 depending on how big your slices are. ;)
