Mike Ramsey is a writer, home brewer and beer enthusiast. His favorite styles are light and dark, bitter and mild versions of American, Australian, Belgian, Czech, German, English, Irish, Scottish, Sri Lankan, Japanese, Mexican, Russian, Finish and Polish beers. He’s not that fond of Italian beers. As a vocation, he writes for The Wall Street Journal about wheeled vehicles that frequently use explosive liquids to move pistons up and down and then connect to a complex system of gears to make the wheels move. He lives in Grosse Pointe Woods with his wife, two kids and kegerator.
