Prior to joining Patch as a freelance reporter, Ryan Young spent three years as a sports reporter and served a one-year term as sports editor at The Daily Iowan, an independent, award-winning college newspaper in Iowa City. During that time he covered Iowa Hawkeye football, baseball, and wrestling, as well as community news.
