Scott Gwinnell, Neighbor

I am a freelance musician/composer and educator based on the east-side. I am the jazz piano professor at Oakland University and have composed over 300 works, played on over 30 recordings, and recorded/toured/or performed with Aretha Franklin, Vanessa Williams, Joe Lovano, Dave Liebman, and Jon Hendricks for whom I was three-year music director for.

I am currently signed as an artist to Detroit Music Factory Records (Mack Ave.) and have recently released my first recording with them, Cass Corridor Story.

I also teach a small amount of private students and am the director for the Metro-Detroit Jazz Workshop, based out of Grosse Pointe Woods.
