Come on man, that kind of talk doesn't help anyone and it certainly doesn't represent our community.... we live next to the two most dangerous neighborhoods in America and don't want the violence creeping in. Period.

I assume you mean the Cabbage Patch, not the Grosse Pointe Patch?
And I do agree that the GPPPD and the other departments have their hands full since the housing crisis began. We need to support them to the fullest. Rentals put a transient population into the mix. They have a very hard job. Baby kissers by day, border guards by night...

Soooo... what you are saying is that holding people accountable for following the local zoning and residency rules, and using nasty things like credit or background checks are racist? Is it a conspiracy by "The Man?" Observing empirical data when making policy is called.... wait for it... logical.
This hyper sensitivity to race makes you sound simple. A woman is dead. Where is your compassion? "We contribute by our very existence here." Uh, ok?
Wagging your finger at people for having a defensive posture against the most dangerous neighborhoods in America is hollow. You are suggesting that everyone should have the right to pack em in 7 deep and enjoy the schools, services and parks? What happens when the place burns down with 5 in a bedroom and someone dies? Surely it will be a racist conspiracy too...
