is hosting a nighttime taste fest Saturday July 21 along Kercheval Avenue in featuring more than 60 vendors who will be offering tastes, of course, but also arts, wares and other unique merchandise.

In addition to all of the vendors, the band Purdy Good will be entertaining during the strolling outdoor event, which is from 6 to 10 p.m.

This is the first time the Market has ever held a nighttime event and if it's successful, Meldrum said, it's possible it could be turned into an annual part of the market. Normally the market runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Kercheval Avenue in the business/retail district.

The market will not be open or set up during the daytime on Saturday as a result of the special event. For this season, it replaces one of the longer market days, which normally would have operated until 3 p.m. and included closing down Kercheval Avenue with more vendors that normal.
