Details of Jane Bashara's Death Revealed in Court Testimony

Prosecutors called additional witnesses in the second day of Bob Bashara's preliminary exam for the murder of his wife, Jane.

Medical Examiner Dr. Francisco J. Diaz took the stand Tuesday during Bob Bashara's preliminary exam for allegedly killing his wife, Jane, according to a story on clickondetroit.com.

He testified that Jane died in Jan. 2012 from strangulation, her windpipe was crushed and she had internal bleeding in her neck from the force, according to the story.

As Diaz described how long it took for Jane to die, which took about three or four minutes according to a story in The Detroit Free Press, Bob Bashara reportedly got emotional and wiped his eyes.

The last of the seven witnesses called Tuesday was Robert Fick, the story stated. Fick reportedly lived in Bashara's apartment building in St. Clair Shores and was asked to lie about Bashara's girlfriend, according to the story.
