Grosse Pointe Woods Shores Little League No-Hit in World Series Opener

Grosse Pointe Woods-Shores Little Leaguers lost their opening game of the Little League World Series.

The Grosse Pointe Woods-Shores Little League dropped their Little League World Series opener 3-0 Friday to Chula Vista, CA. 

The Great Lakes champion was no-hit by California's Grant Holman in the seven-inning game, according to a story www.cbs8.com

Chad Lorkowski threw a one-hitter through six innings for Grosse Pointe, but reached his maximum pitch allotment and was relieved by Antonio Moceri for the seventh inning. Chula Vista was able to put up three runs in the top of the seventh for the win.

Grosse Pointe will play the loser of Friday's game between Newark National (Del.) and Urbandale, Iowa, according to the Detroit Free Press. They will play at 8 p.m. Saturday on ESPN.
