Neighbor Charged in Grosse Pointe Park Woman's Death

The charges come about two months after Sabrina Gianino, 35, was found dead in Grosse Pointe Park.

A 42-year-old man was charged in an arrest warrant with first-degree murder, felony murder and unarmed robbery in connection to Sabrina Gianino's death in Grosse Pointe Park, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office announced Sunday.

Myron Tyronne Williams is scheduled for formal arraignment at 9 a.m. Monday in Grosse Pointe Park Municipal Court, according to Maria Miller, spokeswoman for the prosecutor's office.

Williams, who is a truck driver, was held on drug charges in relation to the May death of Gianino, 35, in the 1300 block of Wayburn. He lived next door to her duplex, Miller said.

He previously faced charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and delivery of marijuana, but those charges were dismissed Thursday.

Those charges against Williams--whose criminal background includes a drug offense, obstruction of police officer and unauthorized entry of a building--were part of the larger investigation into Gianino's murder. She was found May 16. The medical examiner ruled the cause of death as strangulation.
