Grosse Pointe Annual Halloween Parade, October 31

Hundreds of costumed kiddos expected to trick or treat in the Village.

 

GROSSE POINTE -- Be on the lookout for hundreds of costumed school children on Wednesday, October 31st as The Village, Downtown Grosse Pointe hosts the annual Trick or Treating in The Village event. 

Village stores and businesses will pass out treats from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Kercheval Avenue from Neff to Cadieux will be closed to vehicular traffic from approximately 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Friends of the Grosse Pointe Library will set up at the corner of Kercheval & St. Clair for their annual Trick or Read program that encourages children’s reading through age-appropriate, free book distribution.

And beginning at 4:30 p.m., kids will have the opportunity to participate in the annual Halloween costume contest. Prizes are awarded for scariest, most original and best overall costume. Honorary judges from the Grosse Pointe community will cast their votes for the contest winners.
