Viewfinder: Woods Residents Honor Troops at Annual Service

Hundreds of Grosse Pointe Woods residents joined together to honor our troops at the city's 29th annual Memorial Day Observance.

Girl Scouts passed out flags and Boy Scouts raised the city's large flag as hundreds of neighbors gathered to honor our troops at the city's 29th annual Memorail Day Observance on Monday.

The City of Grosse Pointe Woods and the Historical Commission put on the ceremony at the "Circle of Honor" at Mack and Vernier.

Anchor Bay High School AF J ROTC led the procession. Scouts from Grosse Pointe schools passed out flags, led the Pledge of Allegiance and hoisted up the city's large flag to half mast. Songs were performed by
