VillageFest, Trattoria's Anniversary and Special Meeting for Former Border's Planned This Week

An anniversary celebration, special meting and mass to honor first responders are planned for this week in the Pointes.

Here are some items to add to your calendar this week:

  • Andiamo Trattoria will begin a month-long, 20th anniversary celebration Tuesday. A ribbon cutting will held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, and will start a special throwback menu, along with a four-course meal for $20 throughout the month of September.
  • The City of Grosse Pointe City Council will hold a special meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday in City Hall to consider a zoning amendment for the redevelopment of the former Borders store. 
  • Midwest Small Breed Rescue will host an adoption event Saturday at the Bow Wow Bake Shoppe.
  • Our Lady Star of the Sea Church will host a Blue Mass Sunday.
  • Rubbish collection is delayed one day due to the Labor Day holiday.
