Fall Festivals, Church Anniversary and Senior Expo Coming Up This Week

Fall festivals, the 75th anniversary of Grosse Pointe Woods Presbyterian Church and the Assumption Cultural Center's Senior Expo are among the events planned this week.


Here are some events to add to your calendar this week:

  • Grosse Pointe Woods City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Items to be considered using a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality grant to purchase of a Mack 10-Yard dump truck and approval of the employment agreement for the court administrator and deputy court administrator.
  • Assumption Cultural Center will the 20th Senior Expo Thursday with informative exhibits, educational seminars, valuable resources, luncheon and 
    entertainment.
  • Mason Elementary will hold the Fall Festival & Pumpkin Sale from noon - 4 p.m. Saturday. A $5 wristbands for the kids includes big bouncers, games and crafts.
  • A weekend of activities are planned for the 75th Anniversary of Grosse Pointe Woods Presbyterian Church.
  • Grosse Pointe Farms will host the Autumn Harvest from 1 - 3 p.m. Saturday at Pier Park. Events include a hayride, candy hunt, magic show, fresh donuts, hot cider, s'mores, pumpkin decorating and a petting farm. Admission is $5.
